Notice to Patients Regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

UPDATE 6/15/2020

With continued concern about COVID-19, we want to keep all our patients and their families informed about how we are working to prevent and control transmission of the virus. As an essential medical service, we will remain open for care with increased precautions.

  • All patients and staff must wear face masks while in the office.
  • Please wash hands upon entering the office.
  • A staff member will take your temperature once you are in a treatment room.
  • We will be accepting check and credit/debit card payments only-NO CASH payments.
  • Treatments and check-in procedures will be modified to maintain social distancing between patients and staff. Your treating therapist will need to be within 6ft distance during treatment. 
  • We have increased our cleaning regimen to wipe down surfaces between each use and to wipe down common areas frequently through the day.
  • We may modify your exercise program to keep a greater distance between patients. 

Modifies cancellation policy

  • If you have a high fever, cough or shortness of breath, please STAY HOME. However, please call our office as soon as possible to cancel your appointment. 
    • No show/no calls will be charged.

UPDATE 3/30/2020

In accordance with Maryland State Guidelines, Amber Hill Physical Therapy is an essential business and will remain open for patient care visits. 

All clinics have private treatment rooms allowing social distancing during physical and occupational therapy appointments. 

Schedules have been modified to avoid crowding in offices and limit total occupancy to less than 10 persons at a time. 

We are working on access to Telehealth and E-Visits. Additional information on these services will be released when services are available.

  • Our staff has been educated on infection control and precautions. Although out of the ordinary in our clinics, you may see increased use of gloves as staff feels necessary.
  • We do not have face masks available due to current lack in community, but you are welcome to wear them if you have them.
  • We may modify your exercise program to keep a greater distance between patients.
  • Please wash hands and cover your cough.

Modified cancellation policy:

  • If you have a high fever, cough and shortness of breath, please STAY HOME. However, please call our office as soon as possible to cancel your appointment.
    • We ask for as much notice as possible but will waive cancellation fees if less than 24 hours’ notice is given through 3/28/2020.
    • No show/no calls will still be charged

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update 3/17/2020

On March 16, 2020, Governor Larry Hogan ordered all bars, restaurants, fitness centers and theaters to close. As a medical provider, we can remain open and continue to offer services.

We are working daily to keep patients and staff informed of any changes. We continue to be diligent with cleaning efforts and will practice social distancing within our clinics.

Please do not bring anyone to your appointments that are not directly involved in your care or transportation.

If you are sick, please notify us and reschedule your appointment. We ask that you do not return for PT until you have been fever-free for 72 hours.
